About Brandon Maye

"What God has for you, no devil in hell can ever take away - Point Blank!! There is no weapon formed against you that shall prosper." Brandon Maye

Brandon's life has been centered on hard work, strong faith, determination and perseverance. Now with an undergraduate and master's degree in possession and football career uncertainty, Brandon feels led by God to motivate others through his powerful speeches as a motivational speaker and The Brandon Maye Foundation.

A native of Mobile, AL, Brandon Maye was born to Mrs. Queen E. Maye and Mr. Curtis Berry. After losing his father in 1991, Brandon was blessed with a father-figure when his mother married Mr. Osben Clark in 1995, who Brandon credits with guiding and teaching him how to become a man. Brandon attended W.P. Davidson High School where he lettered in football. As a senior, he started at middle linebacker and finished the season with 120 tackles, 18 tackles for loss, 5 sacks, 2 interceptions, and 5 recovered fumbles, as well as participating in the Mississippi and Max Emfinger All-Star Games.

Brandon went on to attend Clemson University on a full football scholarship, where he attained his bachelor's degree cum laude. In his first career start as a freshman, he made 12 tackles against University of Alabama – the most tackles ever by a Clemson freshman in a career first game. That season Brandon finished with 90 tackles and received All-American Honors as a freshman. In 2009, he was named ACC Defensive Player of the Week and finished the season as the team's leading tackler heading into the bowl game with 103 tackles. After completing his time with Clemson, he transferred to Mississippi State where he continued football and furthered his education, graduating with a master's degree in Human Resources.

In 2011, Brandon entered the NFL Draft and was brought to mini-camp by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. However, due to sustaining a career ending Achilles injury during the second week of fall camp at Starkville, Brandon was not able to pass the in-depth NFL physical at that time.
